Since the gauge in the dash an be inaccurate, is there a way to put a gauge by the sending unit also and keep the factory gauge working?

This, or just use a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

Inclined folks can remove the hex fitting from the block, drill and tap to 1/8"npt for another feed. I would use both the factory in the dash and a mechanical/electric aftermarket gauge.
