I had sime heads milled years ago and it was a couple hundred bucks. They also had to mill the intake size. As for porting if your just gasket matching then why not do it yourself? I'm sure you could do just fine with some light porting

ive done some stuff, but in the last few years after my "incidents" i have just lost all my patience for my self and i get pissed at myself too easy. i want the job done right no matter if it cost and arm, a leg, or my whole body on the corner at rosedale. thankfully im getting better once the car is done i feel at the very least will be able to properly maintain it in good working order.

With a 55cc chamber, zero deck, 8 cc dishes, and a 4.100 0.038 head gasket thickness, the compression hits 9.67:1

I think 10:1 will be pretty damn hard to hit without milling like crazy.
        Deck at 0
        bore: 4 inches
        stroke: 3 inches
        pistons are at a -5.3cc
        head gasket: .038 to .041
and heads milled to 55cc will bring him pretty damn close to 10:1

What "incidents"? Just take your time and try to stay patient when working on projects. You seem to have some general car knowledge some I'm sure you do fine on your cars

            5.3ccs? Pretty sure 5L HOs are 8cc...

Spend $100 on a set of hardened pushrods. Trust me, you won't want to buy a new rocker, lifter and hold down because you bent a pushrod and your lifter was slapping the cam lobe. Also I have seen many many times where the ball on the end breaks off because of the xtra spring pressure and really fucked some shit up.

I want to see what this b25 does.

When I get bored, change the cam or go back to stock and do a turbo kit.

No sir. the TRW forged pistons are no where near 8cc. I went on the high side of what I think I remember seeing about the head volume of them. It might be closer to 3cc on the valve reliefs. Not 100% sure on that as I have different pistons in my car and cant check. maybe ill check on Mikes when hes got it all apart.

Either way with the heads milled to 55-56cc he will be sitting at a STR of around 10:1 and a DCR around 8.7:1.

Takes a lot to post stuff like that on the board, all earlier bs aside, if you ever need a hand with anything don't hesitate to hit me up.

                          cept for the cpr stuff.
when we grew up there was war ball, sand lot football with no helmet, dirtbikes with no helmet, baseball with no head gear, teather ball, monkey bars on concrete.

At the Dallas Pop Festival a guy was openly selling lsd, hawking it like hotdogs saying " get your acid---- LSD right here", loudly. We ask him if it was good stuff--- he pointed the the ambulances loading up people and said, "this is what they bought" ! We all tried it.

as for the compression issue, why would you want 10/1 with todays gasoline and a car with no knock sensor. you will have to have adjustable valve train with guide plates, custom pushrods and be sure to check the valve clearance.

what headers are you going to use?

Don't worry about what you can't change.

thanks, it wasnt for pity. it was just a bad time in my life that god has given me a few extra chances with to learn to appreciate life. ive learned from my mistakes and im a hell of a lot happier now minus the once a month episode when i get sand in my vagina lol. i just need to stay off the internetz for that haha

what headers are you going to use?
I have bbk longtubes, with an aje k member.

My heads have guild plates and I will be getting stronger pushrods that are the correct length.

It will be dyno tuned and I run nothing but 93 octane already. If it spark knocks I will get out of it hopefully before any damage occurs.

I also will have 7/16 stud mount to rockers, why would I need adjustable?

I have 1.6rr trick flow rocker arms now. I believe they are non adjustable.

As far as detonation issues... He shouldnt have any with the aluminum heads, 93oct and a tune... His DCR is going to be in a good spot.
