  • Help with ford ranger

    I have a 99 ford ranger 3.0 with 154k miles.
Out of no where the transmissrion started slipping, the abs light came on, and the over drive light started. The codes it reads are PO500 and P1502. I changed the Speed Sensor in the rear end and nothing happen. It still does the same thing. Can anyone help me out or do any of you guys know any good ford mechanics that would tell me whats wrong with it?

I not super familiar with that transmission but I'm betting on one of the VSS (vehicle speed sensors) in the trans has taken a shit.

There is not a vss in the transmission. The only speed sensor is the one in the rear end.

I have seen a connector get filled with water/ junk and cause this code.

The connector is on driver's side, just below driver's seat on the frame rail. Make sure its clean and dry.
        Some cars and a bike...

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot
