Fox door lock actuator issue

My drivers side door lock actuator seized up on me. I bought a replacement from LRS but when I replaced it I ran into an issue. It has power and moves when I hit the lock/ unlock button but it doesn't move then lock up or down. When I use the key to unlock it from the outside it pushes the actuator out of the holder. Any ideas?

Maybe one of several things, linkage binding, not securely in mount, no power input or you got a fucked up new part.

I started looking at this again. The lock works fine when the actuator isn't connected to the mechanism. I'm sure the replacement actuator is good because I swapped it over to the passenger side and it worked fine. It seems like its binding somewhere but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?
