  • Water in #5 Mexican Block Vic Jr Heads

Last time at track resulted in oil turning into Latte.
Traced down found water in #5, thought it was Blown head gasket.
Pulled head off gasket was intact-no damage. Figured intake gasket failed
put it back together using 9333pt1 head gaskets and 1262r intake gaskets.
Just got done drove around block and again water in oil & #5.
Mexican Block with 347 stroker 7/16 head studs
Vic Jr heads, RPM2 EFI intake with nitrous
Motor built more than a year ago.
Might be asking the impossible here, but what else could be damaged?

At the very worst, you could be dealing with a cracked head, a cracked block, a cracked intake, or porting that went into a coolant passage in the intake or head (although it would probably have leaked sooner).

I'm guessing you didn't notice any of this when you had it apart.

Hope it's not too bad dude!

Don't think it's a bad porting job as it would of leaked much sooner-
              could be wrong not sure.
I guess tear down pt 2 and hope that cyl is not cracked.
Was hoping to make it for the FFW, still haven't had a 1/4 mile pass with this set up..
Would I be able to see a crack w/o removing piston?

I saw it when I pulled the piston out. Easy fix, Morgan and son had me out the same day

On that cylinder look around the front corner of the block, I have seen one crack from the oil filter area on up. At this point if you pull it apart and cannot see anything wrong with any part I would have the block checked/magna-fluxed before i put it back together.
