  • Issues with my intake=rails thread

    My Victor Upper noticed on one of the fuel rails thread
    goes into the runner. Just got it and of course previous owner says it worked ok
    Any sugestions on how to repair this? tia

    Took 2 pics with flash light inside runner

    Use some thread sealant and call it good.

      As long as the threads are good and can be sealed i'd be fine running it. I'd still be pissed though.

          it won't hurt a thing.. seal it up and call it good.

          If you're really worried about it, but a stud in it with red loctite.

                Similar thing occurs on LS1 ported heads, where each intake runner will have a rocker bolt
                that runs into the port.

                A dab of fuel/oil-safe silicone sealant on the bolt threads will seal it up. Be sure not use
                too much sealant where it will squeeze into the port. I usually dab it at the half way point
                of the thread engagement.
