that is difficult when we were not given a chance to... Oh and yes we would have done what was necessary to repair the leaky rear main.. but...Originally posted by DON SVO View PostThe invoice shows he paid for the brand new flywheel, which means True Street installed it.
The invoice on page 1 shows he also paid for a real main seal and was charged labor for the engine assembly, which means True Street put it in.
His tech installed the flywheel, therefore TrueStreet needs to stand behind their tech's work.
What in the internal rotating assembly would cause an INTERMITTENT RPM-dependent vibration?

the convo on the bracket never happened. if 150 covered my massive intake, and everything else, how much exactly would this have saved me? like i said, i dont think the powder coating thing was a plan to rip me off or something, the only reason it was brought up, is because this thread had to be started and i wanted to give perspective. we havent discussed my fuel line that will gush from the fitting if moved.or the timing cover leak. those havnt been fixed yet, but these little things arent what is troubling me. its the cost of pulling the tranny and putting the dowel and main seal etc back in.Originally posted by Blackpony View Postthe reason the flywheel was wrong, is at first you provided us with a part number for some generic flywheel that ended up being for a truck that requires a 164 tooth flywheel not a 157. I personally drove the car around after it was pulled off the dyno, as per Sean request to see what I though about the driveability, it ran fine to me, though i never hammered on it, but there was never a mention of an odd vibration on the dyno. Sean is very picky when it comes to this and I promise you, he would have mentioned it. Work with him for one day and you will know what i mean!! haha
yes, but we mentioned there would be an additional charge to remove the ps bracket and you said to just paint it. Also lets not forget about the huge intake that was coated. Call around and you will see the price you paid will reflect the amount of parts coated. Why would we go through the trouble to drive 20 mins, of SHOP time mind you, one way to drop off and pick up your parts to get coated only to cheat out one bracket that was still attached if you requested it to be painted?? that makes 0 sense...

Was told it was constant anything about 3k.. Not told intermittent...Originally posted by DON SVO View PostWhat are your thoughts regarding this question?
If there were a problem with the dowels missing, it having an intermittent problem would mean that something was moving around ie the pressure plate moving around shifting the weight. Well that something would be a metal object rubbing against another metal object, wouldn't that make some sort of noise, or wouldn't the clutch not want to operate properly? Not once was there a mention of the clutch not working right... just going off the information given.

i'll call clint in the morning and see what he charges on labor for a clutch swap and see if he'll reimburse me that. im going to go grab some dinner and watch a little tv.
i assure you, im not hiding or avoiding any questions asked and can post up here anything that is requested with regards to receipts, bank statements, pms, invoices, etc...
if i missed your question, feel free to send a pm and i'll quote and post in here.

The pressure plate is not spinning, so it shouldn't make a grinding noise. Is what he said about the clutch staying engaged on the dyno true? What do you think that might mean after viewing the photos of an absolutely mangled throwout bearing?Originally posted by Blackpony View PostWas told it was constant anything about 3k.. You take the fun out of everything.Originally posted by DON SVO View PostDifferent topic, different day.
It sucks when things go wrong in hotrodding.
I built a nice blue coupe a few weeks ago Installed a used motor and trans Found out motor knocks and loses oil press once warm. Pulled the rear wheels off to swap them no brakes or drums all missing. Sucks but Thats hot rodding
Doesnt do any good blaming Carless chris for selling me a bunk motor. I 100% blame myself for not hearing it run before i bought it. I dont blame the guy i bought the car from (Which he did make it right the same day!!)
