What kind of car? strut bearings can do that when you turn the wheel."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

You need to get someone under the car when you're turning the wheel and see if you can get a general location of where it's coming from. Like Sleeper suggested, getting the car on a lift will help, but you can still locate it's general area and see if you have problems even if it's loaded. Usually strut tower bearings pop or grind when you turn the wheel, you can hear them when the hood is open pretty easily. But, it may very well be something other than that given your description.Originally posted by zachary View Postchange previous answer. Went to car and yes sitting still rotating the wheel results in squeals. then also whenever any extra pressure is applied, IE a bump of ANY sort it also happens."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
