can a fuel pump go bad from sitting??

I've dropped off a lot of bad E85 and pump gas at our local recycling center, just had to bring ID and a water bill. I'm sure your town has something similar.

I am sure I can find a recycling center in Fort Worth or Saginaw area. Good idea, thanks. I learned my lesson. I am not going to store, keep that much on hand again. Then again, I didn't think the computer/tune was going to take a shit on me either. I would have used all that 30 gallons pretty easily over the summer/fall had it not.
