What's the combo? Vacuum leaks? Timing?

      I recommend going carbed!

But if he insist on staying fuel injected I would check with Diobolic on here, he did a lot of tuning on a 94-95 if I remember correctly.

Could you elaborate further on the idle issues you are having? Can you also type out to the letter how you went about setting the base idle for the car? What cam and what tb?

It has a trick flow stage one cam...70 mm bbk tb. The car backfires like every 10 to 15 seconds. The engine wants to jump out when idling. The guy I got working on it is still jacking with it. Don't know how he is setting the idle but when the car stops bsckfiring the rpm's are high. When its low the engine shakes a bit of tweeking to do. Any help would be appreciated. ..

whats your timing at? dist. stabbed wrong?

disclaimer: while i have pretty much that same set up on my 94, i was talked through how to do on this site by greenbullit and had pro88lx come over and help me get it fired. so i truly dont know what im speaking of. basically completely skip this post.

                      god bless.

If it's popping you have issues other than the idle. I hate it when people make these changes and then don't install a wb. Is it fuel related as in the pressure, the AFR, the timing, etc..... It's too hard to diagnose when someone else is spinning the wrenches. I just did a HCI swap on my buddys 95 GT. It too has the TF Stg 1 and it idles absolutely perfect at 750rpm. We just played with the base timing, IAC bleed screw, tps voltage, and base idle screw. No custom tune is needed to get a 94-95 to idle or run right if everything else is working properly.
