What kind of oil filter do you use?

I used Wix on my Mustang and on my old pickup with no problems. I had 2 Fram filters blowout within seconds of firing up my truck when I first put the engine in it - that caused me to swear off of them for good.

I've used Mobil1 filters in my daily drivers without failure - current truck is almost to 300k miles of 10k oil changes.

Hottest a filter can get is the temperature of the oil. It ain't generating heat...

Unless the car is off, and the filter is located near something hot. Such as a turbo or other exhaust.
