rusted stroker kit

I have aquired a 331 stroker kit that has a lot of rust on the crank and a couple of the rods. How much rust is too much before they are junk? What would you suggest to clean them up? Any info would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the journals or throws on the crank?
If it's the rod and main journals then take to a machine shop and let them polish it then mic it to make sure it's not too loose.

If it's on the throws then just get some red scoth bright and scrub it off.

Same thing with the rods
