I always thought the '99-04 PI cars sounded pretty good stock. IMO, anything that will make it sound good will make it hard to talk on the phone.

As bad as I wanted to throw some mufflers on my '99 GT a had a couple years back, I'm really glad I didn't. It was already hard to hear on my phone as is so I couldn't imagine if I had it louder.

Plus it kept from getting any unwanted attention from any sort of racer boy types and the popo.

If anything, for phone use, keep the mid-pipe stock and do mufflers or a cat back only.

I had an offroad prochamber and SLP LM1s, and although I really liked the sound, it was loud as fuck, droned at highway speeds, and hearing a phone call wasn't happening.

BTW, Cold air intakes and throttle body spacers kick up the in cabin volume too, so I would avoid those.

Yep.. Same here. Every ricer and stock vette I came across wanted to race. Oh, and gas pick-up trucks with exhaust.. Gets old.
