They used them in everything up until 2011. I've probably sold about a thousand of them and had to warranty 700+. Extended service but no synthetic oil requirement, plus cheap ass owners who drive Intrepids = lots of blown up engines.

Yea they are the most expensive and most unreliable of the engines that were put in them.

We just put one in a Magnum and the customer was quoted 8 grand somewhere else before he was referred to us. Got him out the door with a 100K mile warranty good at any Dodge dealer for a few bucks under 5K.

Hemi swap would have been not much more..

we own one it has been a good car only problems so far was the fan broke and pushed thru radiator just over 102K miles, and battery but it is a 2007 with 3.5
