Only issue I'm going to have is getting a rental. I'm 20 and I don't think they will give a rental to me. I need a vehicle for work. Its pretty much mandatory, especially for how long the car is going to be down.

They should give you a loaner or a rental. The two times that my brother was hit in an accident, he was under 21 and he got a rental both times at no cost to him. That was from insurance though, so the dealership may have a different approach.

cut the filter open, see if any brass/ copper looking stuff in it. I cut open every filter I take off each car I own.

A little "chatter" on a cold start up or after a OFC is kinda normal. Little being key word.
