2012 5.0 A/C compressor failure

Following my in laws back from San Antonio two weeks back their Exploder with 50k on it grenaded it's compressor on 35. Shot all kinds of shit over the highway and a decent sized piece of the compressor into the windshield of my wife's car cracking it.
Never seen a compressor do that before, wild shit....

wonder what kind of pressures its running in these hot temps? ive wasted a compressor by overcharging it. shouldnt be running over 250 on the high side

High side pressures can easily run 325 in the 100+ degree temps we saw last week, on an orifice tube system for sure.
