Keep it as factory looking as possible, IMHO. Oh, and HELL NO to the 03-04 cobra bumper. It doesnt match the body style at all.

I have always wanted the factory look to stay but with subtle because racecar things hidden in plain sight. I think with the stock hood with the GT500 extractor and stock bumper I can still hide a forward tilted radiator, boxed and sealed front air dam and close off the bumper cover to be a front feeder vs bottom.

One of these days I want to put it on a track for at least a lap or two.

I wouldn't change the look, AT ALL. It is a perfect example of a sleeper. Everything you listed is a big first step toward Vatoville.

You can manage the underhood temps. Air has to get in, move over the hot parts, then get out. If you don't have a way to exit the underhood air, maybe consider extractor fans that will push it out.

I have a cervini cobra r hood off my car for sale. It's in perfect shape just needs to be painted to match your car. IMO the cobra r hood flows really well with the rounded body lines on the sn95 cars..

PM what you are asking for it. Hell, if I get it and don't like the way it looks I can always sell it. Not like I don't have a garage full of shit I need to sell anyways already.

I have been reading a lot on CC about high pressure / low pressure and increasing radiator heat exhaust under the car. On our trip back from OK last year it got hot in traffic and I could not get it cooled down. Bigger Mark VIII fan, laying the radiator forward to get a better shroud in there, boxing and sealing in the front air damn and closing off the bottom of the bumper to increase the low pressure under the car and increase the pull of the radiator exhaust when moving will help a lot I think. Next step would be to extract through the hood like that white Cobra up top.

I have also read of front end down force being created when a extractor like that GT500 is put into a stock hood.

I vote for leaving it as is, or adding the Saleen sn95 hood. It's very low profie, almost like a stock hood.

GT500 insert into a stock hood sounds like the cheapest option to 1)change the look and 2)help with heat extraction. Plus you can probably find another stock hood for next to nothing if you didn't want to hack up your original one.

I've always liked the Cobra R hood on the SN cars. I had one on my Mystic after my stock hood got cracked in a fender bender. Definitely go with a Cervini's hood if you can. I had a few different body/painter guys go on and on about the quality of the fiberglass and how well it was laid out.

I could see the Griggs hood working out if you decided to go more of a race look with your car, but it won't work well at all with trying to keep it "stock" looking. You said it's pin on only, but that white car pictured with the Griggs hood doesn't have any hood pins holding it down.

As for the front bumper, leave it. Just take off the front plate, have the holes filled and painted, then when the cops give you crap about it just point out how there weren't any factory mounting holes and you aren't going to drill into your car for fear of damaging something. LOL It actually worked a few times back when I had my Cobra

I'm diggin' the Saleen hood over the GT500 extractor. The curves flow better with the less angular SN95 body.

FWIW, I don't like the '03 Cobra bumper on the SN95 at all.

gt500 extractor is a cool idea, I like. Lose the original nostril vents, add new wheels and call it a day. It's clean so I wouldn't mess with it too much, but it needs new shoes so it doesn't look like every other sn95 on the planet and as long as you aren't running "bigs n littles" you'll still have sleeper status.

Well I have some time to play with. I found a GT500 vent and it will be there in November when I get home. Dremel, meet hood. I also am talking to blackpony about the Cobra R he has. Who doesn't have spare hoods in their garage for different moods?

On that subject how about factory SVO side skirts for exhaust? It would allow me to put side pipes on finally when I can not fish anything the turbo likes over and around the TA/PHB mounts in the rear.

New wheels? I am climbing to the top of the cat walk and throwing myself off. Do you know how much I sunk in those? The rears are 10.5" by the way with 275s in the front and 315 out back. I didn't want flashy and couldn't ever find the BBS RK or RX for sale when I was looking. I ended up with original Ford R's that I had redone to look brand new......and widened the rears of course.

I didn't want flashy and couldn't ever find the BBS RK or RX for sale when I was looking. I ended up with original Ford R's that I had redone to look brand new......and widened the rears of course.

You may not get the entire investment back, but those wheels would sell at a premium if you wanted to fund new rims that way. I like that they add to the sleeper/stock look, but the right aftermarket wheels would totally enhance the car's appearance. Then again, it seems that any rim that looks good at a reasonable price is "played out," meaning that you have to invest some scratch to get something unique.

I still have them. Well, they are the 97 Cobra wheels but the only difference is the painted kidneys. They are the rain tires. I was forced to roll them on the power tour we all did in 2011. Fucking rain.

I say do the saleen hood, small cowl or cobra R. I personally have the 95 cobra R and love it.
