  • Carb'd fox body throttle cable?

Time to ditch the old mechanical linkage in the 66. I'm putting on a Holley that's set up for 1984 factory linkage.

Anybody know what years/models interchange so I know what I'm looking for?

You might call Latemodel Restoration, and see if they have the throttle linkage/cable in stock, or if they can get you pointed in the right direction.

The one you want is for an '85 GT with manual transmission, since it is a factory Holley 4-barrel.

They have it, but it's priced a lot higher than the Pioneer part number shown above.

Last post - I just noticed that these cables don't come with the bracket. The bracket bolts to the intake manifold and holds the cable sheath in place. That might be tougher to find. You might hit up dumpycapri85 (Jim) and see if he has one he'll let go of.

My 69 came with a cable, might give that a shot.

I "think" it looks like this.

I have a Jegs throttle cable bracket and Lokar cable, Stay away from the Braided one though, The end is different on it and if you hammer the pedal it pulls the braided part through it. The black one doesn't have this problem.

put all that pedal pressure on the carb arm and it will loosen up eventually and about any non-factory cable will give problems if you put all the pressure your leg can give on it.
