Cracked radiator

45 minutes from home, just found that one of the tanks on my radiator is cracked and seeping fluid. Any chance I can make it home without blowing a gasket?

Its a crack! About 3-4" long. I can get a new one for $115. If I can get it home I will swap it in the morning

Thankfully no stop and go traffic from Forney to home. Going to stop at oreillys and pick up a new one on the way. A co worker lives in Caddo Mills so he is gonna give me a ride tomorrow. I will swap it when I get home tomorrow

Its a s10 man If you can get a ride to get the radiator and its a 5 speed non auto.

Its a 20 min job if you have the tools.

Made it home no problem. I grabbed some quicksteel at the counter at O'Reilly's to try and slow the leak down. It helped a bit. It never got over 175 on the way home thank goodness.

Last time I had a radiator blow, I stopped and got some of the 5 minute epoxy. Mixed it up, put a layer down, then added some of the cardboard from the package and put the rest on. Acted like a fiberglass patch and it didn't leak a drop on the way home.
