  • best oil for chevy 5.3

I've always used regular old Valvoline in all my cars. Or just stick to it?

Castrol 10w40. Same oil for 10 years. No problems.

All name brand oils have always been the same for me. I tried royal purple and I could tell the difference in smoothness and a little more power, but it can be pricey as well.

Kinda what i figured. I just wondered if the synthetic or semi synthetic train was something id like to get on vs my dinosaur oil.

It doesn't really matter for stock motors. Btw, we run 20w-50 in stock GM motors all the time at our shop
