I have 2pc rotors that have a alum center and iron ring, the hardware that attaches the ring to the center does not clamp the ring to it, the ring is free to move a little, I figure that you cant put it on a std brake lathe because the ring would be flopping around all over the place.Originally posted by shumpertdavid View PostIf you are talking about hubless rotors then just about any parts store or place that has a brake lathe.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? I follow you, it's like a sport bike rotor then. I've never had anything Like that to machine. You might call the manufacturer and see what procedure they recommend. Since you have a bit on each side of the rotor pushing inwards, I would think that it hold constant pressure and result in a smooth machining. My fear is that it could allow the outer ring to wobble allowing it cut a warped type surface in.
