Talking about the bolts that bolt the lower intake manifold to the head... Are they the same torque specs as the stock heads/manifold? Putting a systemax on afr 185's.

My pleasure, go over them like 5 times until they stabilize.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? Click here http://dfwmustangs.net/forums/payments.php

AFR suggests you don't even put a torque wrench on them. Just hand tight.
You certainly need to go back and retighten a few times.

My hand tight is usually way too tight, I'd stick with a tq wrench, be sure it works at those low tq specs or do 216 inch lb if you have an inch lb wrench.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? Click here http://dfwmustangs.net/forums/payments.php

Next time you should hand tighten the bolts with the hand you do not jack off with, I'm sure it won't be as strong...Originally posted by Mach1 View PostMy hand tight is usually way too tight, I'd stick with a tq wrench, be sure it works at those low tq specs or do 216 inch lb if you have an inch lb wrench.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.
