I'm working on a 99 navigator. It blew a plug out so I bought this atd5410 kit. Seems like this kit isn't right. The drill bit doesn't reach far enough in to remove any aluminum and the tap won't reach far enough 8 to tap anything. Iv moved the clips like the directions said and it's still not enough. Anyone know if I got the wrong kit or something?

He's had 1 blow out on the road in NM and now one blew out in town. I told him I would just do the other 7. The shop that repaired the one in NM charged him for 2 spark plugs repaired but only fixed one. They did replace both coils so it looked like they fixed both cylinders. Im trying to get the name of the shop so I can send them borescope pics of it.Originally posted by JimD View PostDone a bunch with that style kit. hope it isn't a rear cylinder, they are a bitch.

Fuck doing all the others if it's not needed. Isn't the main reason this happens on n/a engine is because they are coming loose?Originally posted by stephen4785 View PostHe's had 1 blow out on the road in NM and now one blew out in town. I took 4 plugs out that were barely hanging in. They had carbon all over the plugs. The stock heads for 5.4's only have 3-4 threads to hold the plugs in. Once it's ran with loose plugs it widens the threads. It's my cousins car so I'm going to all of them.Originally posted by snacksnack View PostFuck doing all the others if it's not needed.
