  • 1 year old gas in gas tank

I have a car that has 1 year old gas in it and it's 93 octane. What is the best option besides dropping the tank?

    Firing it up.

It'll burn, I'd stay out of boost in no knock sensor.

No boost on this turd lol. Should I put an additive in there and just let it run?

I'd add some fresh gas in with it.

Add a can of that seafoam stuff so it smokes up a storm after it's started. Helps it run better!

Pour sugar in the tank heard it was a great octane booster.

I had a car that sat for over a year with 1/2 tank in it. I put on a new filter and filled it up the rest of the way with as much fresh gas as I could get in it. It didn't run that great but I just ran a 1/4 tank out then filled up again. Did this 3 or 4 times and then replaced the filter again. Everything was fine after that.

If you are really worried, id disconnect a place in the feed hose that is easy to reach, then give the pump power and let it do the work for you.

Id pull it at the fuel filter since it prob needs changed anyway.

Or run the bitch, it will be fine.
