Fancy coupe upgrades and a quick question.

Been meaning to do this for a while now, did it all for $40.













Would it be easier to cut the section around the seat bolt from a donor car and weld it up with a plate or something to make it stronger?

Surely I'm not the first on here to tear out a seat bolt.

We had to plate the seat mounting areas in the race fairmont, welding it didnt last long. 3" load washers top and bottom did help some.

What kind of deadener is that?

Duct insulation from Home Depot.

It's light, sticky. 1/8in thick and takes a lot of heat and tingy/tin can sound away.

I noticed a big improvement when I did it on my last mustang with temps and sound. The only concern I had with the product was if you spilled something inside the car or had a leak. It would suck up liquid like a sponge.

This is a very thin foam adhesive, maybe I'll make some train trenches to a body plug in case I spill my large whataburger drink, again.
