Anyone ever try one of those A/C Recharge Kits from the local auto parts store? My fox body has all the a/c stuff on but it's been sitting in the garage for some time and it doesn't blow cold. Wondering if it's worth giving it a try or just taking it to someone to have them check it out.

If they do work it's because your system has a leak and it'll stop working again soon. Your system isn't designed to compress ambient air that's likely contaminated with lots of moisture.
I'd recommend paying a pro or at least someone with gauges and a vacuum pump.Comment

Is that the original compressor? It's kinda like the heart of your ac system so make sure it's on good shapeComment
