Easy there tuff guy . 212 is not bad for a stock motor . How much do you think yours is gonna make ? Yours is going on the dyno to and with the auto I bet you'll be shocked at how little is hitting the ground . I bet steves car could run a 8.7-8.6 if we realy tried .
its was a joke i dont thank im gonna make alot first i gotta get it to run right. if he would change he shift light i told him more the 5 time at the track i know he could have run better. 220 230 is what i think but i could be wrong

I think your pretty close . Remember he also drove that thing there and dynoed it hot . He also didn't get a good A/F reading and made no timing or carb adjustments . He also could of reved it higher but I think the stock cam and valve springs are done past about 45-4800 . Yours will keep going till you run out of head and you have a better intake . It will be fun to see .

Damn! If it put 212 to the wheels on a stock motor, you might have something there. I've seen everything from 190 to 202 to the wheels on a stocker.
It didn't use to smoke like that. At least it didn't with the other carb and in the other car. I built the shortblock. Stock 86 shortblock with new bearings, rings etc. with E7 heads and a stock cam out of a '93. I believe the added compression helps with the power. Typically Carb cars do a little better than comparable EFI setups also.

I had steve change the pcv cause I thought it might be sucking oil but that was a few weeks ago . Not to mention how low his oil was at the time . I told him to yank the plugs and see what he can find .
