Need to get a set of Performers checked out. Will need them to be freshened up. Oh, and is checking for trueness and cracks common practice or is it something I need to specify? I'm in the Oak Cliff area but don't mind driving a bit for quality work.

    TIA

Not sure on that one. I personally have never taken anything there - but now, I have reason for it!

What ever happened to Competition Machine in Plano? I always heard good things about them.

What did they do?? They did the machining on the block that went into the Datsun and it looked great and everything measured out correctly.

I always thought Morgan and Sons was BIG $$$$ btw. Are they pretty reasonable these days?

Chris would have to elaborate, but I seem to remember the balancing was WAY off and it had a problem on several cylinders with ring seal.

I guess price is relative to what your willing to pay, mine seemed to be real reasonable.
