Need a GM auto transmission rebuilt

My wifes 2005 GMC truck is having a knocking sound coming from the transmission every once in a while. I am in south Ft Worth and looking for a good place to take it and have it checked out and repaired. Any reccomendations? Thanks.

Does it have a two piece driveshaft ??
It may be the center support.

It has a 1pc shaft. It sounds like it's from inside the transmission. I just changed the fluid and filter and didn't see any trash in the pan at all. Just a little bit on the magnet.

Ive seen them do some absurd shit. One instance they blocked certain passages that good builders wont and caused a lightning to break an output shaft. Firm shifts are great, but not so hard that you stop movement in the trans...
