  • What to look for 2003-2005 Dodge cummins???

    Just like any vehicle, what on these trucks do I need to look for, looking at auto, cummins, 2WD, 4 door, probably going to have around 150K-200K.
    2006 Civic SI
    2009 Pilot
    1988 GT
    CRF50

    Check and see if it's ever had injectors in it, we have seen a lot of sets giving up the ghost at around 150-175k miles and they aren't exactly cheap.

      check to make sure its not a dodge, because those are peices of shit.

              I have a 05 4 door 2500 diesel 4x4 around 200k on it, no blow by, no issues, very nice truck Ill sell ya for 13k

                  im not gonna lie the 5.9 cummins is a badass motor. I do know that dodges have problems with there trannys. Tranny fluid on a dodge needs to be flushed at 60k. The tranny fluid does not flow untill in neutral so people tend to just throw it in drive and its kinda like a dry start. i cant tell you hoiw many people have had problems with a auto.

                    only transmission problems I have seen on these are are the shifting solenoids. Runs around 400 to fix

                        a build transmission with a good valvebody cures the drainback issue...

                        Borg has updated gov pressure solenoids that work a lot better. No more shuttle shifting!
