Where near McKinney can I get my R12 charged up?

The wife's Miata does not blow cold. Later this year or next year, it'll get an LS1 and I'll convert to 134a, but for now, just gotta get through the summer.

Its a little cheaper but you could use freeze 12.
But if you can get the leaks under control, slam 134a in it.

I thought you had to change over the compressor, dryer and flush the R12 completely or something. I know the ports are different and I'd need an adaptor...

To do it correctly this is partially correct. Some compressors don't handle the r-134-a oil well and will eventually burn up from lack of lubrication. At the least you'll want to remove the compressor, drain as much of the old oil as possible, replace the drier, install the fittings, add the appropriate oil and amount, and refill the system with an 80% charge of r-234-a. So if the car held 1 pound originally you'd only put it .8 lb. The Freeze 12 is also an easier/cheaper alternative to the r-134-a
