To do a cam install on the 4.6L. It doesnt seem too difficult from what i have read but I wanted to get a second opinion. Shop I called said it would be 750 for install and the cams cost that much alone. Anyone done this on there own at all? I have 2010 gt btw.

Yeah they do lol. I know a shop that does lsX cam swaps dirt cheap but he doesnt work on fords. I'm good at replacing parts and good at doing what your supposed too to do it right. I don't mind doing it myself but I'd rather pay someone to do it for me lol.Originally posted by ozzeran View PostLabor rates these day's blow.

Yeah I liked them back when they had there first dyno day. Good guys. This probably wont happen this year due to im trying to get a house but its possible it may happen the beginning of next year. I just kinda want to get an idea of how much I will be out of pocket.

I posted a link to a cam install guide for the three valve 4.6 in the S197's guide section if you are feeling brave enough to try the install yourself. I'm on the same boat as you, I would like to install them myself but don't want to F*k anything up.Originally posted by Johngt View PostYeah I liked them back when they had there first dyno day.
