Nothing of any content. I texted back and forth with Troy several times Saturday morning offering anything that the family needed, or to offer to get something for Devon while he's in the hospital. Troy was certainly gracious, but obviously overwhelmed and I left it at that- I didn't try to contact him yesterday, because I am SURE that everyone on the planet is doing the same.

I'll try today and keep you guys posted.

I don't know the guy but I just saw that they arrested the lady who hit him.

The news said he's still in the hospital, hopefully the injuries aren't permanent.

I just got a text from Troy, nothing of any detail to speak of..

I just said that "I heard they arrested the driver!!! How are you guys doing?"

His response was "it's hard on us, thanks for asking"


For anyone that attends TXR Friday night, I'll try to get something together to by his boy some kind of gift. It's no fun for a kid to be stuck in the hospital, and it's certaily not easy on mom and dad.

Yeah, it could happen to any of us for a variety of reasons - hitting someone. At that point you nut up and do what's right regardless of who was at fault. Panicking and running is NOT the answer when you have someone laid out that you just hit.

Some of us were raised to do the right thing if possible, some can't handle the mental stress and some are so self centered they'd leave someone to die to protect themselves. Wonder which one she is...
