SAMs tune vs Blackbear?

Anyone know how they differ?

Ill probably be giving blackbear a shot, only because he has the autocal so I can remove the tune if needed, instead of having to swing back by or mail ecm back and forth(obviously not if theyre local like Sam)


Id prefer having someone local, but dont know that anyone else even offers the autocal/handheld unit to load/unload your own tunes....
Having someone local gives you that option to tune/retune as needed(quicker than mail order), not to mention nice to support your local guys...

Give us a call at the shop. Sean is very good tuner especially with gm vehicles. He has done virtually every car, tbss, just did a crew cab 3/4 ton 6.0 truck.

Blackbear isn't your average mail order tune. They do a data log and tune from there if you pay for it.

There is NO comparison at all vs any custom tune vs mail order junk.

I do but if I tried to explain the complicated process it takes to tune a 2009 truck correctly I would lose you.

I've driven a car that sam has tuned (Jarod gold 00 gold ss) and i would definitely say he got the most power out of that car for the mods.. Its been tuned for a couple years now and has yet to go kaboom and he doesnt drive his camaro easy.. but it also drives just fine as a daily driver.

Sam gets my vote...

If you pay the money, Black Bear will do a data log tune. Not much different from a dyno tune. The dyno is after all just to get data for the tune. You might wanna ride Sams nuts like everyone else though. It seems to be the cool thing to do.

If it isnt broke. Dont fix it! There is a reason why Sam tunes most of the LS cars in the DFW Metro plex
