Yep, they're trying to close down all three tracks in the area. Fuckin' assholes.

Highly doubt it. Even with all the tracks open in the 90's street racing was massively active. Isn't street racing now a criminal offense in TX? If so, the smart ones will stay home and cops will pounce on the stupid. Either that or it will be organized with as few people as possible in an undisclosed place to avoid unwanted attention. A race or two is done and everyone leaves. The days of hundreds of cars running around several well known areas to race are over.

After all that money that spent on the track, bet they would be pissed off if they had to close. You know what if you dont like the sound, dont move into the house that is close by. Simple enough. there will always be threats of it closing each year prolly.

They'll wait until the owners show the first sign of financial trouble and eminent domain that bitch along with all the land in the area that won't sell. That or they'll continously peck away at the parts of town they dont like through re-zoning like they did with the srx oriented businesses. They have a new city mgr in the last decade or so who's specializes in modernizing shit little towns, err I mean small town economic development. His goals are pretty ambitious, but who knows.

It's going to happen eventually. They have been fighting it for years but it's coming, when? Whos knows but the city is getting aggresive. The city thought they had back in the mid 90's when they annexed into the city limits but Hutch fought them pretty hard.
That damn midnite shut down screwed me out of a few finals that still pisses me off.
