Derek beat me to it. (edit)
I don't know if they keep official records for that but I think his 4.98 last night was the first 4 second pass in Tex275 trim & the quickest pass to date.
Congrats to John & crew on the win! They had the car going down a mediocre track all night. I'm sure all the rain a couple days before the race didn't help!
Congrats to Mike on the runner up and the quick ET!
I raced my car last week and felt like I was prepared for this race. I made the first qualifying pass & went 5.02@148.X to earn the #2 spot. Then turned it up a little, when I started it, to make the 2nd qualifying pass, I had no first gear. I was really bummed! I felt like I had a good competitve car for this race. That was a new best MPH for me and I think it was high mph for the race. We will get the trans fixed for this next weekend at Denton. Not bad for a little 300" 4.6 DOHC surrounded by 58X" BBC's with nitrous!
Good luck to all that will be at Denton next week! Let's try to keep it in Texas!Blue 99 cobra with flames 7.7@180, 4.9@146 in the 1/8 on 275 radials. Getting it done on a true 10.5" tire, with a 3.5" bore, 32 valves, and 4 cams.
The daily: Sonic blue 03 Cobra with twins 1,063rwhp @ 25 psi
The daily part 2: Kona Blue 2011 5.0 KB 4.2l KB, AR headers & midpipe, 25psi on E-85 900+RW thru the stock auto.
9.91@138.8 on 18's full weight with 750RW

I started to take pic's and then decided not to. It was bad. He mowed down trees that were almost as big around as basketballs. He hit one tree square in the middle of the radiator and shoved the motor about 10 inches in the cab. Had he hit that tree a little more on the drivers side it probably would have sent the steering colum thru his chest. He's a very lucky man with a broken heart and some soreness.Originally posted by junk racing View PostAnybody get pics of the truck that ran off the track?? He's a very lucky man.

Lets try and keep it in DFW and not Houston. I'm gonna do my best. I figured out my surging issue today at the shop. I know I'm not as fast as most of the cars that will be there but hopefully we can find some consistency and be consistent with every round we are in.Originally posted by 582nova View PostManny car looked killer last night. Lets try and keep the money in north Texas this weekend.

Thanks bro! It broke the planetary. Lucky Mike just pulled his 1.8 set out, we are going to get that one put in & we will be ready for this weekend. I got my money's worth out of it, it's been in there for over 7 years. I just wish it would have broke the week before!Originally posted by 582nova View PostManny car looked killer last night.
