  • 2004 GMC vho times

Ive done a few google searches and in 2005 guys were claiming to run 9.1 at 77mph in the 1/8th, with a tune and intake and cat back.. just bs mods

My truck has 180k miles on the trans and 140k on the engine, stock except..

    Electric fans
    K&N Intake
    Trailblazer stall, 2800ish
    Corvette 1-2 Servo
"Tune" previous owner, i have only tampered with the electric fan controls with HP tuners.
    Eaton Tru Trac diff
    Tru-Cool 40k trans cooler

    I ran a 9.5 with a 2.3 60ft with my factory 20s and 275/55/20s

I found some 16s, so i put my mustang tires on it, 225/55/16 in the front and 26x10.5x16 ET street slicks, not radials.
Knocked it down to a 9.0 at 79 2.0 60ft. looks retarded as hell but its getting through the gears nice. The only downside is its shifting into 3rd right about 20-30 ft short of the finish line.

For you Gm truck guys, is this about right for a lq9 ext cab?

Its my DD and I was just out having fun, I dont want to go crazy but I would like to mod it a bit further though.

My 6.2 ran some 8.80's I think with a tune and on a 22" wheel.

        Your times sound about right.

I ran your "fridge" in my car at the track once. I think it ran a 8.x at 84ish? Coulda sworn it was a 8.4 but idk.

You're the guy on here that knows trucks, any modding insight?

That's when it had the Ls9 cam in it.

Unless you wanna start changing the cam and stuff that's about it. Put some nitrous on it, it'll be fine.

Take it to Sam to tune it.

The 4l65e may not like nitrous? I figure when it goes out I'll just do a 80e.

haha, ill give it a shot, my smallest pills are set up for a 75 shot, but are "for" ford efi, so i guess ill need a smaller fuel jet since chevy runs more rail pressure.

my friend just put a 236/236 598/598 112 in his 5.3, making me want a cam really bad..

I still think my 6.0 is quicker, he was running 10.4 before the cam, lmao
