He was fine. Car broke the front axle and bent a fender. That was the main stuff. He also bent one of the front wheels and they weren't his. Apparently Friday he made a pass and found out his brand new M/H fronts both had flat spots.

Most that can't/don't bracket race don't like it. Sure it's racing, especially off the line trying to beat the other guys reaction time. Who has the money to race heads-up, not many.
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.

Yeah, takes a lot of skill to cut that light with a delay box, then on-off-on-off-on throttle at the end of the track to really run that dial-in! Woohoo, what a rush!

I know you guys are really into it, but Bracket Ra... er, Driving is the Communism of drag racing. And it's the absolute worst spectator experience in motorsport.

Just go heads-up in a class you're competitive in.

I love all these haters that think all bracket cars have on-and-off throttle stops! Maybe at a National Event, but most bracket racers today have big egos. 4.20 and faster dial-ins, blowers, nitrous... And electronics? There are multiple classes, not all have electronics. To each his own.
Now how about fast heads up cars running electronics? Look closer, they have trans brakes, delay boxes, progressive boost and nitrous controllers. Oh, and how about this... Traction Control boxes!

I wasnt racing aganist anything with a delay box. Oh and there was no trophy. It was for a little $$$$. Just ask Jyro, im sure he has won a $$ over the years of bracket racing.

I dont bracket race a bunch, my dad likes it a lot more. I just race for fun.

If you're talking to me, I'm ready. And why do you need a rental, you do own a race car, right??? And I'll even let you pick which car I'm in. The slow streety Maverick, or the slow Mustang. And no trophy, money only. And I won't use any electronics in either car.

Who needs a racer when I can punch in a 16.00 every time with the economy special from Enterprise? We need to do it on a Friday so I get the special weekend rate.
