You are fighting a war for no reason . Yes it would be cool to run that on a radial and on a perfect track on the perfect day yes you could . But , with a new set of tires you would drive right past that # , the car would feel way faster and more fun , and you would actualy get to see and compair your car and driving to everybody else . Once you get some dr's you are gonna feel dumb for waiting so long ans screwing around with the standard tires . I have dr's on every car I drive on the street because spinning is just dumb .

By radial I ment drag radial, sorry.

If I could get a 1.8 it would run 8.7 I believe.

And that's not bad for a stock 20 year old car!

Cool, heres what I'm thinking.

8.7 on drag radials, stock suspension.

8.5 with suspension mods. (control arms, springs and shocks)

8.4 with tubular k member and a arms.

Car weighs 3000lbs or less without me in it. And I weigh about 180lbs.

One of the guys in our group has an all stocker with dr's . Its a carb car but only has 3.55's and 60 series dr's that are way to tall for his car and its gone 8.8's and is worn out . I think it 60's about a 1.9 . You are probably right on about your estimates .

With DR my reaction should be better I won't have to worry about leaving to hard. Last time out I had a .002 and a .008 reaction. So don't count on leaving me at the tree!
