Where in the hell is Fitzgerald on that list? he has a baller contract too. Matt - Johnson signed a new deal in April of 2010, hence why he's not on the second list.

Jackson needs to shut the hell up and go to camp, you make $600K a year more than me if your broke then stop being a baller. As for Bush going to Miami, its a good fit perhaps. Haynesworth is going to the Patriots, and honestly if Bill Belicheck cant light a fire under Hayesworth's ass then no one can.

Depends on how you classify "highest paid"
If you were going by base salary in the 2009-2010 season:
Antonio Bryant - $9,884,000
Roddy White - $6,000,000
TJ Houshhasdflksdflk - $5,500,000
Andre Johnson - $5,325,000
Greg Jennings - $5,000,000
Now if you take into account their total salary for the year including all bonuses, etc...
Greg Jennings - $16,251,300
Roy E. Williams - $13,660,320
Roddy White - $12,007,280
Antonio Bryant - $9,890,760
Laveranues Coles - $9,750,000
Of course this is only because I couldn't find a list of 2010-2011 salaries

Randle El is out in Pittsburgh. He might fit as a good veteran WR for us and probably for cheap at his age.

Texans the new leaders in Asomugha sweepstakes
The Houston Texans appear to be the leaders in the clubhouse for the services of free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, multiple sources have told NFL Network's Michael Lombardi.
Asomugha, widely considered the top player available in free agency, could land a contract in the range of $12-14 million per season from the Texans, according to Lombardi. That would make Asomugha the NFL's highest paid cornerback, eclipsing the average yearly salary of the four-year, $46 million deal Darrelle Revis signed with the New York Jets last offseason.
The NFL free agency cycle is in full effect, with teams and players agreeing to terms fast as training camps open. Get the latest on all the news right here.
The Jets are also reportedly involved in serious negotiations with Asomugha. According to Lombardi, the San Francisco 49ers are also believed to be in the mix.
The Texans are aided in their pursuit of Asomugha by the fact the state of Texas has no state income tax.
It has been believed the Texans would be aggressive in free agency to upgrade the defense under first-year coordinator Wade Phillips. Adding pieces to the secondary, especially cornerback, is considered a major offseason priority for the Texans, who used three draft picks in April's draft on defensive backs. The Texans lost free agent Dunta Robinson a year ago in free agency when he signed a six-year, $57 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
Asomugha, a four-time All-Pro selection, has spent all eight of his NFL seasons with the Oakland Raiders, where he made roughly $16 million last season before his contract voided, making him a free agent.

I think it goes like this. Marshall WAS the highest paid until Andre signed a new deal.
1. Andre
2. Marshall
3. Lee Evans

Like I said, I 95% of the time take the side of the Front Office and team in these cases. But most players never get far enough into the light loaded backside rookie contracts to worry about anything. Most all star rookies who perform well in the first 3 years get re-upped after 3 years. DeSean wanted an extension last year and the Eagles said no. They appear to be saying no again so he's holding out.
All the leverage in these cases is ALWAYS with the owners and Front Office. They can terminate a contract at any damn point they want to, players have nothing guaranteed at all.
The new CBA does stiffly penalize players now for holding out, the fines are $25K a day or something crazy. Doesn't start til the NFL calendar year hits August 4th though. Unless the Eagles sign him I don't see this ending anytime soon.
And they need him, so I'll just sit an hope for the best!
