The Packers who are the best team in the NFL really didnt make any roster changes, but if you look at the teams that did make changes they have kinda struggled. What has hurt these teams was the lockout and all the Offseason OTA's and meetings.

Rams just signed LB Ben Leber who spent the last 5 years with the Vikings. I like the pickup, just another piece that can help us on defense.

Cowboys add Brandstater to QB mix, sign WR Edison

SAN ANTONIO -- The Dallas Cowboys have signed quarterback Tom Brandstater and receiver Dominique Edison after they were cut by other teams.

Brandstater, cut by the Miami Dolphins, and Edison, who was with the Seattle Seahawks, were added to the roster in time for Sunday's practice.

Dallas had open roster spots after quarterback Zack Eskridge and nose tackle Billy Blackard were released Saturday.

Brandstater was drafted out of Fresno State by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round in the 2009 NFL Draft. He was released last year after the Broncos drafted Tim Tebow and acquired Brady Quinn. Brandstater had since had time on practice squads with the Indianapolis Colts and Miami.

Edison, a Texas native who played at Stephen F. Austin, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2009. He went to Seattle after being released by the Titans this year.

    couple of things for today.

Arian Foster strained his hamstring in practice yesterday, don't know how bad it is but big if your about to do your fantasy football draft.

Ravens could either resign WR Derrick Mason or former Jet WR Jerricho Cotchery. Ive been suprised Mason has played this long, he once thought of retiring a few years ago. Ravens released him on the first day the agreement was signed.

Ladanian Tomlinson says that he doesn't want this to be the last year of his career.

Also Marshall Faulk goes into the Hall of Fame. 2000 MVP / 1999 Super Bowl Champion / 2nd RB in NFL history to have 1,000 yds rushing and 1,000 yds receiving in the same year(1999, Roger Craig was the first). / In 2000 he had 26 TD's which broke Emmitt Smith's record of 25 TD's by a running back in 1995.

Stats and Ranks against other running backs in NFL History

10th most rushing yards (12,279 yds)
    Most receiving yards (6,875 yds)
    2nd most receptions (676 catches)
3rd most yards from scrimmage (19,154)
    2nd In Receiving TD's (36 TD's)
    100 rushing TD's

METAIRIE, La. -- Free agent defensive end Turk McBride has agreed to contract terms with the New Orleans Saints, adding depth at a position where the Saints may need it in the beginning of the season.

Saints spokesman Greg Bensel confirmed the addition of the 6-foot-2, 278-pound McBride, a five-year veteran who has started 12 games during the past two seasons for the Detroit Lions.

The Saints are expecting starting defensive end Will Smith to be suspended for the first four games of the season, stemming from his use of StarCaps weight-loss pills that resulted in Smith and other players testing positive in 2008 for a substance banned by the NFL because it masks steroid use.

The Saints also drafted defensive end Cam Jordan with their top draft choice last spring, but he is untested and still unsigned.

Earlier on Sunday, the Saints confirmed they had also agreed to terms with cornerback Fabian Washington, who started eight games for Baltimore last season and is entering his seventh season in the NFL.

The Denver Broncos snatched up defensive tackle Ty Warren on Tuesday, a few days after the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder was released by the New England Patriots.

The Denver Post reported Tuesday night that Warren, 30, agreed to a two-year contract with the Broncos.

According to The Post, Warren also visited the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs before deciding to accept Denver's offer.

Warren missed all of the 2010 season after sustaining a hip injury during the preseason. Before that he was a starter for the Patriots since 2004. He has 20.5 sacks, including a season-high 7.5 in 2006.

Warren will join a revamped Broncos defensive line under first-year Denver coach John Fox. The team also acquired defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, and signed free agent defensive end Derrick Harvey, who previously played with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Coach John Fox has named Orton the starter for the Broncos yet said that he won't make any promises though and Tebow could still land the job.

That is one of those positions they need to fill. Maybe Smith will eventually wake up and have a breakout season. I doubt it but I've been wrong before.

I still like watching Taylor Mays play.... Weather he can cover or not those big hits are always entertaining to watch. Too bad it's all illegal football now.

Oh and 49ers are seeking to trade Safety Taylor Mays.

FWIW, Terrance Newman is out for the entire preseason.

For once I agree with Bcoop and trade Newman and a draft pick to the Eagles for Samuel. Only problem is if the Cowboys did that, Samuels numbers would decline while Newman would have a breakout season for some odd reason.
