Get this fuckin' amateur outta here!Originally posted by jewozzy View PostAre we considering 6 earned runs him "mostly" blowing leads? A pitchers ERA is cumulative over the course of the year. Which means, he pitched innings without giving up runs, and he pitched innings giving up more than six. The very first game he pitched for the rangers, he gave it away. IIRC he gave up 3 runs in that inning. If you have a 6 ERA and you are a one inning relief pitcher, not good IMO, not when you are pitching for a world series team. However, we watched the same sort of bullpen collapses last year during the post season as well.Originally posted by jewozzy View PostAre we considering 6 earned runs him "mostly" blowing leads? He had a lot of appearances against bad teams or in blowout games. 5 against Seattle, 3 against Cleveland, 6 against Oakland, and 7 in games that were won or lost by more than 4 runs.Originally posted by jewozzy View PostAre we considering 6 earned runs him "mostly" blowing leads? And you, please stop talking baseball. He gave up 6 earned runs since he came to Texas. His first appearance was a loss, because he gave up a homerun in a tie game (first batter he faced IIRC). He has a 2.10 ERA with Texas, but he pitched a lot of meaningless innings. When it counted, he had 3 losses and 1 blown save (how about the 2-1 blown save/loss in Anaheim when Texas was on the verge of sweeping them in a 4 game series?).Originally posted by black2002ls View PostA pitchers ERA is cumulative over the course of the year. The post I quoted said nothing about since coming to Texas. I breezed through the post and assumed he was talking ERA. Which, from what I've seen of Adams, wouldn't have surprised me. I see his average is 1.47. Statistically a good move. But, from what I've seen in games that matter, he hasn't done us any good. I know the pitch tracker isn't 100% correct, but how many times was he going to throw that same pitch to that exact same spot and hope he MIGHT get a strike out of it? I counted at least 10Originally posted by Nash B. View PostAnd you, please stop talking baseball. He gave up 6 earned runs since he came to Texas. Edit: I didn't watch Adams when he played for the Padres, so no need to comment on how great he was there. I have no desire to watch the Padre's unless they are playing the Rangers.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

Very true. If it had been me, I would have stuck with Ogando in the 8th. Having been a starting pitcher this year, he could have handled the extra pitches/inning.Originally posted by mstng86 View PostI like seeing Ogando out of the bullpen. I loved him last year, and it is a little more comforting with him coming in than anyone else.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

I'm new to the discussion, and want to state, that this is far from over! Just venting on the bullpen performance in the 8th! 2 in a row, we've got the momentumOriginally posted by Slowhand View PostI'd like to take a moment to remind those of you just joining this discussion for the first time all season that this series is not over yet and any such talk that it is will most likely be detrimental to the team's cause.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

I think Warsh is an F-stick at times. If I were managing, I'd have left Colby out there for the 7th. Ogando in the 8th. Feliz in the 9th. I think there would have been far less drama.Originally posted by black2002ls View PostVery true. If it had been me, I would have stuck with Ogando in the 8th.
