LOLz, I'll bet you've never thrown 115 pitches in one night.Originally posted by Couver View PostHow many innings do they get a season in Japan? I hope they don't use him up to early. Seeing him iced up like that at the presser seems a tad worrisome.6:30 is when the TV coverage starts. The game starts at 7:05.Originally posted by Couver View PostTm six thirty again. Yu Darvish, has my respect now. He pitched a hell of game. 2 strikeouts on Jeter. He looked pissed after the second one. I am going to the game Friday woot!2005 M3 Vert with TSW rims

and on 4 days rest. Hell he even remember to tip his hat. I wonder what napoli and his convo's sound like.. I wonder if it is in Japanese or English. No one really faired well last night. The loaded bases had me worried, but he got out of it. The yanks pitcher did well to. He held us to two runs. That was one hell of a long game.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostNot to mention A-Rod going 0-4. A good win all around, especially for Darvish.2005 M3 Vert with TSW rims

Yu might be on to something.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostThis could be Andrus's year. No error's and playing his ass off.
• Elvis Andrus went into Tuesday's game without having made an error in his last 49 games at shortstop, dating back to last season. That's the longest streak by a Rangers shortstop in club history. Michael Young held the previous mark with 43 straight back in 2008.
Superb outing by Darvish and excellent efficiency by Nathan, getting 2 outs with one pitch.

Dropped a sure handed double play ball the other day, has misplayed a couple this year as well. Technically no errors, score wise, but he has erred this season as I said before.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostBase running? They show no (0) errors in his 16 games. For a guy that averages over 20 a season, I'd say that's pretty damn good. How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Pitch counts in Japan are regularly well over the century mark, the one big difference is that their pitchers go on 5 days rest, and here we go with 4. If anything Darvish's control seemed to increase as the night wore on, in the 7th and 8th he was dominating. There didn't seem to be much the Yankees could do with any of his pitches.Originally posted by Couver View PostHow many innings do they get a season in Japan? I hope they don't use him up to early. Regardless, if it's not on an official scorecard as an error, it's not an "error". When he signs a new contract, that's what they will look at, not "he should have made that play"...Geoffery.Originally posted by The Geofster View PostDropped a sure handed double play ball the other day, has misplayed a couple this year as well. We'll agree to disagree, though I don't think you're understanding my point.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostRegardless, if it's not on an official scorecard as an error, it's not an "error".
