He's 31, going to be 32 at the start of next season
Never played a full season due to injuries or sickness
Has the drug past, and have to worry about a relapse
Rumor has it he isn't a guy that works on his tools.

    Wouldn't sign

There were a lot of people saying that it would be risky to sign him to a long-term contract. If he'd had his bad run in the middle of the season and his hot streak at the end, I'm sure a lot of people would want to see him stick around. But, he didn't.

With the Rangers coming out and saying that about Josh Hamilton and letting him shop around pretty much means to me that he's done here. Go and find a big deal that your looking for, if its there then go negotiate. I think the Rangers will still make an offer like we did to CJ last year just to say they did. I expect it to be low. He wants a multi-year deal in the 100+ million range, and he's not going to get it here. Its crazy cause 5 months ago everyone was saying sign him to that deal, now its don't even think about signing it.

Should be. The only difference is that the Rangers had a lot of injuries. Not excusing it, just pointing that out.

He should've been gone 5 (how long has he been here?) years ago.

One of the most egotistical managers in the game. A modern version of Ted Williams (when it comes to managing). Teddy Baseball was a ball-playing sonuvabitch, so a least he could back up his ego.

After watching his last 12-14 games, I don't blame them. Down the stretch he was atrocious (by his standards) and went 0-4 in the wild-card game, and was responsible for making 5 outs.
It's not about,"what have you done for me", but "what have you done for me lately".
