Not that uncommon anymore. It would happen a couple of times a year when I lived in Desoto. When I coached my girls in soccer, we had dads go after each other on two occassions. Both times I had to go before the North Texas Soccer Association for hearings, even though I was never directly involved. When I was a kid, our parents NEVER came onto the field for any reason at all, and we never saw altercations between parents.

Same in the last sentence and this is probably a big reason why CHL holders still can't have CCWs at sporting events.
Personally, the only thing that would cause me to get physical at an event is if my kid gets hurt at the direction of a parent telling their kid to do something dirty. If my kid gets hurt due to the game, that's one thing and it's part of whatever they are doing.
Although, even though my kids are only (almost) 3 - the little bit of stupidity I hear out of parents already is strange. I remember sports before/during school years and parent encourage their kids and really got excited - but nothing like this shit you hear about these days.
At worst, they'd get in the ref's face and other parents/coaches took care of that. I can't think of one time the police were involved.

Look all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
Both my kids played organized sports and are grown and gone now. There were parents going at each other at a youth (PYSA) girls 10-11 yr old soccer game. Grown men screaming not so nice things at there boy's 5-7 yrs of age soccer games. Our head coach was assaulted by an assistant coach from another team one night.
Some parents are useless pieces of crap and bad examples of true sportsmanship!

People laugh at girls soccer, but it's more violent than other sports I've been around. It's crazy.

I played my entire childhood, up through high school. It was pretty fucking violent.... But girl's soccer (my sis played from 5yoa-Juco) made the competition and violence in boy's soccer look like a walk in the park. Those girls were ruthless, and this is coming from someone that was pretty ruthless in his own right.

But, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.

Yeah, it was bad. Once my daughter got to college ball, it/they seemed to settle down some. It's a damn good thing women don't have our testostrone, or those games would be a blood-bath. LOL!
