Mavs 2012/13

Mavs have a must win game tonight against Nawlins. Then Sunday against the Lakers...I think the season can hinge on that game. Mavs win that, and they would leap frog the Lakers (by percentage points) into the 9th slot in the West. They'd be approx 3.5 games behind the Rockets who are #8. And in about 10 days, we have a set of games with the Rockets. Mavs could potentially close the gap on #8 very fast. If they lose that Laker game on Sunday though - they'll still be behind the Lakers and probably Portland as well. As we get late into the season, it's too hard to leapfrog that many teams.

Mavs suck. Oh well it was a good run of years they had. I guess we are going to see the mavs have seasons like they did in the 90's.

Wow. Mayo just gave the game to the hawks. 2.turnovers in less than 20 seconds in the last minute.

Good game to attend tonight since the last couple I've been to have been disappointments. The Warriors were definitely not in the game tonight and than I saw they played last night and figured that's why. Definitely nice to be on the winning side of a blowout and nice back to to GSW for the loss when we visited them. Ya I hope we can make up some ground during the home stand here over the next week or so.

I don't know what's up with Golden State, but they were having a great season so far and have started getting hammered the last few games and the Mavs threw them a knockout punch again tonight. Mavs have a relatively easy schedule over the next 6-7 games. If they're ever gonna get back to .500, now's the time.

Anyone think the Mavs are going to do anything before the trade deadline?

Took down the Suns, not that it is really anything brag about. Fairly even matchup until the 4th quarter. Only 7 games back from .500.

Another close game lost. This sucks. Hopefully Phoenix will be a sure win.

Van Exel's son convicted of murder
2 days ago |By Associated Press
A North Texas jury has found the 22-year-old son of former NBA player Nick Van Exel guilty of murder in the shooting death of a longtime friend.
A Dallas County jury deliberated about 2 1/2 hours before returning its guilty verdict Thursday against Nickey Maxwell Van Exel. The penalty phase begins Friday.
Prosecutors had sought a capital murder conviction. They say Van Exel fatally shot Bradley Bassey Eyo in December 2010 and dumped his body at Lake Ray Hubbard on the eastern outskirts of Dallas.
Van Exel's attorney had said the two were playing with a shotgun at Van Exel's Garland home, and that Van Exel didn't know the gun was loaded.
His father played 13 seasons in the NBA and is now a player development instructor for the Atlanta Hawks.
