Something really serious just happened with a Stars player on the bench, but the broadcast guys aren't sure what happened. Both bench areas seem very, very shaken up right now, though.

It was a really good ceremony and even better game.

No, it's not normal at all. You pretty much touch a goalie with any amount of force and you're going to be given a penalty. While the player had a ton of speed going into the goal and he may not have intended injury, the NHL sees it as the players responsibility to make the effort to take action to avoid any contact with a goalie, which he didn't do. Lehtonen's head hit the top bar and back bar for sure, possibly the ice when he finally came down. Lindy Ruff has already confirmed a concussion and possible further injury.

It was a pretty emotional ceremony if you got to see it. Pretty awesome to get to witness it in person. Great win too! And, no, it's not a normal thing. Fucker got what he deserved getting sent to the locker room for that hit. It was awesome getting to see Tim Thomas in goal though.

Stars win tonight 4-3. Mikey Mo's number retired as well. Great night for Stars fans.

We need the win if there's any chance of catching them. They're directly in front of us in the standings with a game in hand. If we get on another roll, we might be able to reel them in.

A great game, though. Was surprised that they didn't go ahead and throw Thomas in for the 3rd with the lead what it was.
Oh I know, I was at the game last night. Should have been 5 games IMO. I was thinking the same thing.

Really wish I was a season ticket holder and could afford that extra expense for a pass. Found a few passes for sale online but they were ridiculous prices.

I, like many others hated to see robidas gone. But his injury and recovery is what put him on the list to go. I went to a couple practices last week and the week before and it appeared he was still favoring his leg, as anyone would suspect. With only 20 games left, you may be lucky to get him in the last 10, but will he be nhl ready? His contract expired this year so I am glad we got something from him. They also said Nill sat down with him and showed him who was all interested in him and they let him decide where he wanted to go. As far as Tim Thomas, whatever gets Ellis out of there I am good with.
