Numbers can say anything you want them to say. High completion % in Q4? I'll give you a QB who's playing from way behind and the defense is in prevent. See how it works? If you want to really measure, you need to look at situational stats like points down/points ahead; time left; field position, etc. Look at the numbers when what matters is THAT particular possession and not the cumulative stats over a 3 year period. If you do that, you'll see Romo isn't on par with other QB's like all the Homo lovers claim he's equal to or better than.

Ahead 1-8 points = 91.2
Ahead 9-16 points = 76.5
Behind 1-8 points = 105.9
Behind 9-16 points = 123.3 (a la prevent defense)
Last 2 minutes of a half = 79.9 (2 picks then as well with 2 TD's)

He's thrown 5 picks with the lead versus 2 while behind and 2 while tied. He also has 4 picks in Q4 -- all within 7 points score wise.

You can also look at the stat that his rating on attempts 31+ falls to 77.5. Yet another reason to hand the ball off. I didn't compare these to other QB's, but they paint the picture to me -- the guy isn't half as good as he and many others think he is -- Q4 claims be damned by how great he's rated.

Edit: Just for grins, Peyton Manning's rating this season ahead 9-16 points is 130.9. Big difference!

Edit #2: I found this interesting. Romo passing attempts with the lead = 237. Passing attempts from behind = 165. Completion percentage is almost identical at 64%. The question is, why throw so much with the lead?

I always wonder when I see people bitching on here about their FB pages blowing up with this or that. I never really see a whole lot of anything on my FB ... but I will say this:

I have 474 FB "friends" and I saw, literally, 5 posts this afternoon regarding the Cowboys. I hope everyone is just getting sick of this shit losing interest altogether.

I slept through most of the game, watched part of the third quarter, and listened to the last few drives on the way to work.
