I'm afraid that this could be a long summer unless something changes quickly. Yea our starting rotation has been hammered, but our bats are quiet as hell.

Well said... I'm still going to as many games as possible and pulling for them. Hopefully the bats wake up... Would hate to pay Prince as much as we are for him to not do anything.
Originally posted by BP View PostI'm not too concerned about the pitching, yeah it sucks losing your #2 guy but I was never sold on Harrison after surgery. Darvish is still solid, Colby is decent and will tough it out. You could do a lot worse than Baker, Tepesch, Ross and Martinez as the back end of your rotation.
Round Rock has a couple of guys that can fill in, Cory Burns and Matt West. Wilmer Font is ready in Frisco and Luke Jackson could be added to the roster if it gets really desperate. That and there are plenty of teams that'd love to have Odor or Sardinas, we have some good trade bait.
The problem is our lack of offense. If you can only score 1-2 runs a game you aren't going to have a winning record.

You know it could be worse, the Yankees just added Sabathia to their walking dead list. He's there with Beltran, Suzuki, Pineda, Kelley, Billings and Cervelli. That's almost $60 million dollars sitting on their bench right now and not even counting Arod, who they'll be paying $65 million or so to the next few seasons. They lucked out and didn't have to pay his entire salary this season but it'll be back. Sabathia is owed $48 million for the next two years, Beltran $30 million, McCann is making $17 million a year as a catcher and they are paying $21 million a year for Ellsbury. Not to mention they are paying Vernon Wells $2.4 million to go fishing.

Maybe I can somehow reverse mustang_marc this team. Calling it now. Rangers are dead.

Well it was nice having Harrison back for a few days. Tepesch has been absolutely killing it in Round Rock and Luke Jackson is pretty stout in Frisco. I'm sure we'll see Saunders/Martinez coming up soon though.

Getting shutout in back to back games against the worst team in the league. Awesome.
