Hansen's shtick is to make Jerry out to be the cartoon bad guy.

I still say Peterson never was an option, and really isn't now. Give up a first round pick AND $15 million in cap hit? His contract is even more absurd in 2016 and 2017. He's now named what, 4 other teams? Cowboys won't pay him what he's owed, nor will they give up a first rounder to get him.


Peterson always was a pipe dream. Come back to reality.

The Cowboys were never going to trade for him to begin with. It was all based on the premise of Peterson forcing the Viking's hand to cut him. He would then sign with the Cowboys at a significantly discounted amount to fit in under the cap.

Obviously the Vikings don't want to let him just walk for nothing, but the trade market for him is virtually zero as well given his age and salary. The Vikings definitely are holding a strong hand in regards to having him under contract. However, Peterson has an equally strong hand in the fact he can simply just refuse to play and they are out both the production and whatever money they can't recoup from him after a grievance is filed.

I think he gets moved at some point before the season starts. It may not be to the Cowboys in a direct or indirect way, but I'm pretty certain he is not on the Viking's roster for the 2015-16 season.

Now if we can just get Adrian Peterson we can have child assault covered... Then I think we're just missing a convicted murderer, Jerry should probably put some feelers out for Aaron Hernandez.

Hell of a job by Jerry and Stephen on this deal. This is pretty much the ultimate "Show Me" deal ever. They can literally walk away from this with no noticeable financial hit on the cap if he even farts in the wrong direction.

This also shows how minimal the market was for him and how desperate he was to get a deal done. I really thought it would take more than this to get any type of deal done, but he and DR were pretty much at the end of the line on teams and a deal.

Now we get to see if he's suspended and/or how long that will be.

Mike Fisher is saying that this has no effect on their ability to get Adrian Peterson so obviously they are working on that still and are willing to do enough cap maneuvering to get it done.

Hardy is notorious for having a RyanB work ethic... I think it's a terrific option for his contract. Considering he's still on the NFL Bad List, the per-game bonus is also genius.

He used to be notorious for that. Everything I've seen says that he's a completely different player over the last 2-3 seasons because Ron Rivera took him under his wing and taught him one on one.

Specifically, Hardy can earn a workout bonus of $1.3116 million, a whopping $9.25 million in per-game roster bonuses, and $1.8044 million in incentives based on sacks."
